A Bronze and a Silver Team completed their Duke of Edinburgh Award Expeditions this weekend.

The Bronze Teams battled through some hellish weather on Saturday night as the wind picked up. After a long day's walking they got their tents up and got themselves fed and despite driving wind and rain, they powered through the second day to arrive at Haltwhistle Station with twenty minutes to enjoy coke and chocolate before the journey home. Well done!

Part of their time during the expedition was spent studying the Roman acheological remains along Hadrian's Wall

The Silver Team's adventure took them up and along a section of Hadrian's Wall before heading off along the Pennine Way towards Bellingham.

During their third day, they met their assessor and supervisor at the Cairn at the site of the first official Scout camp, reaffirming their promise whilst there.

Their lunch for the day is so far the weirdest combination ever witnessed on a D of E Expedition - Spam and Jam on Garlic Naan - can you do better?
